About Me

In my world outside of work and school, my passions come to life. Music is my constant companion, with the melodies of Ariana Grande, ABBA, and Doja Cat playing in the background as I navigate life's adventures. Whether I'm honing my coding skills for personal projects or crafting my portfolio website, podcasts keep me company and spark my creativity. When summer rolls around, you'll often find me by the water's edge, basking in the soothing vibes of Port Perry alongside my family and friends. As night falls, my focus shifts to the world of gaming. From the suspense of Five Nights at Freddy's to the enchantment of Hogwarts Legacy, I immerse myself in digital adventures. And when I'm ready to wind down, I turn to old favorites like the Percy Jackson and Harry Potter books for a comforting read, finding something new with every revisit. Weekends are a time of exploration and camaraderie as my partner and I dive into video game challenges and culinary experiments. And thanks to a student's budget, Wednesdays are our movie night, a twosome deal that never fails to bring us closer. This is my life, a tapestry woven with coding, music, gaming, literature, and cherished moments spent with those I hold dear.

Developer

I'm a Software Developer based in the Durham Region who loves clean, unique code that captivates the user & companies needs.

My passion for technology and its potential to improve people's lives has driven me to pursue a career as a software developer, and I completed an internship for the summer of 2023 to start my journey. I am a born leader who is confident in my knowledge and abilities, but I also value the opportunity to collaborate with and learn from my peers. My interests lie in smart home technology, and I have even been using NFC cards to create my own smart business cards before Apple implemented the technology in their smart home locks. My ultimate goal is to see technology inspire productivity and efficiency in people's lives, rather than overwhelming them with it.

I'm a Author that grew from school poetry days & competitions to 'Stars of Serendipity' my debut poetry collection"

My journey as an author culminates in the release of my debut poetry book, 'Stars of Serendipity.' The seeds of my passion for poetry were planted during school poetry reading days and a competitionin second grade, where I first stepped onto the stage to share my verses. Those early moments of connection and expression stayed with me, even as life led me down the paths of software development and full-time studies. Though poetry took a backseat for a while, its call remained undeniable. Returning to it later in life became a way to release the connections and thoughts that had accumulated over time. 'Stars of Serendipity' is a collection that reflects evolution of people I have met to become myself – from the youthful read alouds that sparked my love for poetry to the present, where I stand as an author, weaving intricate emotions into words. It's a testament to growth, resilience, and the enduring passion that has shaped my path.

Mac Henry

Suprised to learn this was Amelia's debut poetry collection, a great read from start to end!

Lisa McMullen

I ordered 2 books,1 for myself and 1 as a gift!! Great!! Book!! Love it!

Claire

You will definitely find yourself reading each poem more than once and then returning later to go over it again.

SECTION STARTERS

There are 3 sections within Stars of Serendipity, the 'killers, the 'kind', and the 'contemplators'. These sections serve as an indicator as to the types of connections you can find within the collection, the types of people you can meet within your life.

INTERAL ARTWORK

I not only wanted my work to be stunning but I wanted very much to incorporate beautiful illustrations throughout. As much as peotry is kind to the mind, I wanted something as equally kind to the eyes with some of the meaningful poetry verses collected.

HARD COVER IN COLOUR

In late October the hardcover version of Stars of Serendipity will be releasing to give readers that loved those illustrations them in colour. This was essential also to get across the whole look and feel of the book. Although many pieces can be enjoyed without colour, putting the coloured version as the hardcover made it so that not only does the reader have this gorgeous coloured copy, but it was also very protected.
